General Stuff from a new member

First off, thanks for all of your responses about the intake and also the tire issue (no spare). The tire issue is kind of a minor thing, I know, (I've had many slowly leaking tires, but never a flat in my last 30 years of driving), but it's just one of those things that happens and can be a royal pain in the ass if it does. You know, my wife and I have owned a couple of BMWs and the brake dust on my SRT-8 really doesn't seem too much worse that what I've experienced on them.
Being new,I know many of you have already told your stories about your purchases, but I'm curious; what is the most that someone has paid over sticker (or cares to admit). In Los Angeles it has been a bit of a nightmare. I put my deposit down in February (after hounding the dealership since October of 2004) and like most of you, waited and waited and waited. By the end of May I was getting a little worried because all of the sudden, my dealer who had assurred me, "no problem, you're going to get it", mentioned that the owner of the dealership kind of bought 2 himself, and well, basically, you're screwed. So to make a long story short, by chance another dealership contacted me (I was on the call list for a few dealerships) and ended up paying $4,000 over. I just couldn't let this car slip through my fingers, not after all of this!
I'll tell you, it took me about one day of driving the car to realize, I'd do it all again (including paying 4,000 over) because the car is that great. Then wouldn't you know it, last week I get a call from the other dealership that I had a deposit with, and yes, my car is in. They were always going to sell it for sticker and are being cool about it, because they are going to let me give my spot / car to who-ever I want (so I'm giving my spot to a buddy). Its nice when life works out, isn't it?
Never been on a forum before, this is great and sorry if I ever ask lame questions. Take care!
