East Coast Meet 'N Greet: Englishtown NJ, August 26th & 27th

Hi everyone. I wanted to invite all of you here at 300CForums to the 2005 East Coast Meet 'N Greet. This event is for all 300C, Magnum and Charger owners and enthusiasts and will take place at Englishtown Raceway in Englishtown, New Jersey.

2005 East Coast LX Meet 'N Greet

The East Coast Meet 'n Greet will take place Friday night, August 26th and Saturday, August 27th for those that can come out either for one or both days. We're scheduled to have our own staging lanes at Englishtown Raceway for those that want to try their hand at the quarter mile and we'll have our own pit/pavillion area so we all will have a point to congregate and relax and have a good time. We do not expect everyone to want to race their cars so please don't not come become this is at a track.

The schedule of events:

Friday Night:
Drag Night at Etown, 6pm to 10pm (gates open at 5pm)
Afterwards, Food/Cocktails at a local sports bar for those that are interested
A good night's sleep at a local hotel (optional, we recommend Holiday Inn, see below)

Saturday:
Official Meet 'n Greet, 10am to ? at Englishtown Raceway
Drag Racing, 9:30am to ? (gates open at 8:30 am)
Lunch Provided by HHP

Requirements For Racers:

In order to race, cars must have mufflers and seat belts (draining the coolant is not required) and drivers must wear helmets (full-face Snell-approved for cars under 13.5s in the 1/4 mile). They do rent helmets at the track for three or four dollars so you don't need to go out and buy one if you don't already have one. Also, racers must wear long pants, a shirt with sleeves (t-shirt) and shoes are a must (no flip flops or sandals). You must be at least 17 years old to race but if you are 17, you must have a parent present to sign the waiver.

Admission Prices at Etown:

Friday Night:
$20.00 to race
$10.00 to spectate
Saturday:
$25.00 to race
$12.00 to spectate

For the quality of Etown Raceway, these prices are very reasonable and I think everyone is going to be impressed by the entire facility. Englishtown will be providing us with the tents, tables and chairs so that we will be able to have our own pit area and we will have our own staging lanes for those that wish to race.

HHP will be providing lunch which will be probably be your choice from Englishtown Raceway's own tasty menu. We will have drinks, too. If you want Beer, it would be BYOB but NO glass bottles of any kind, and they allow no alcohol in the stands, too. I was told that Englishtown Raceway does have their own beer garden. We'll all now get to see where beer grows.

Rain Date:
If for some reason the weather does not cooperate for us, the rain date will be for sometime in October due to the heavy schedule at the track. We'll tackle this obstacle as needed.

If you have any questions or suggestions, please let me know.

See you there!

Joshua
