While I know the tires are 20" and provide a decent contact patch - i would have thought 275 or 285 for the back. Do we know why they went with the "skinny" tires. - car design limititation?, minimal performance benefit?, ride quality issues?, anyone? The real impressive part of the Hemi motor (relative to other "super" engines) is the amount of torque and i would think they would want to ensure it could be fully taken advantage of.

I know some of you have had the chance to talk to some of the engineers - would love to hear the rationale.
My feelings exactly!! I'm considering a 275-40-20 or a 295-40-20 on a 10" rim to help with the contact "patch". In order to turn decent #'s at the track, we're going to have to get good 60' times. I don't think we can do this with the existing 245's on the rear!! I'll be sure to share with the forum if and when I try my "Custom" wheel and tire work!!
