James, U R right. The intercooler function is to cool the air as it leaves the SC and B4 enters the engine. The fuel/air mixture burns more efficiently and the result is more horsepower. The intercooler has nothing to do with the temp of the huffer...
Whipple gave up on designing one for the Hemi; Kenne Bell gave up on the 03 Hemi and is now focusing on the 04 (DCX is giving these aftermarket guys ZERO help and information, and they are struggling with the MDS and the ECM programming...Kenne's people responded to one of my Email queries, saying "the electronics in THIS engine are very new stuff...very complicated, but we refuse to give up!"). Even if I had to mod the hood, I would jump at the chance if the SC unit was available.
