Not being a pest at all, the New Member forum is a safe haven for this sort of thing...
The pic under the username is called an '
avatar' and the "footer" is called the '
signature'. As "Mr. BALL" said, you can access these features through the '
User CP' (Control Panel) found at the top of the screen, or via the "Quick Links" button above. Both of these features have size limits pre-set in the software:

avatar max for Premium members is 100x100 or 78.1kb and for non-Premium members it's 80x80 or 40kb, so any large pic you wish to use will need to be resized prior to uploading it
