My GOD! Nothing bad has happened and you are already looking for a lawyer?

The dealer I used to work for would take EXTRA CARE with a car that was already sold, didn't belong to us, etc. etc.... but yes I know you are right that not all dealers are reputable.

2 options:

(1) This would be my preference- - Have a trusted friend or family member inspect the car, and if all is good, have all the paper work sent to you (FedEx or however you get stuff in Iraq if that's even possible) and go ahead and purchase the car NOW, then have your friend get it the hell outa there and store it someplace safe.

(2) If it's not possible to have the paperwork sent to you in Iraq, then don't sign anything until get there and inspect it yourself; if it's got miles on it or is damaged, don't buy it!

The dealership I worked for did most of it's business with customers from at least several hundred miles away (we were selling 1,000 vehicles a month located in a town of 2400 residents) and we did lot's of "mail outs" where we would FedEx all the paperwork to the customer and they would FedEx everything back to us with their signatures. Many times by the time a customer actually flew in to pick up their car or truck, they had already owned it for several weeks, and those vehicles WERE NOT to be test driven, period. The only miles put on them were necessary, such as the initial PDI inspection, and being driven from the storage lot down to the detail area the day before the customer was due to pick it up. We couldn't Fax documents since they were in fact legal contracts, had to be the original paperwork Sent to the customer to sign.
