Many of you have wondering what is happening regarding the efforts to get Ralph Martens (Speckler) reinstated in his job at the Brampton Ontario assembly plant.
(If you have no idea who Speckler is and why there is all this concern about Ralph Martens, please click on this link:
SPECKLER FIRED? )
Here is an update: Kenny King and a few other forum members, acting as a think tank, hammered out a strategy that we believe is the most effective way to voice our concerns, and help Speckler. A letter that reflected the combined concerns of the on-line community (as shown in your various posts) was sent via registered mail to the CEO of DaimlerChrysler Canada. He was chosen because this issue involves the Brampton Ontario Assembly Plant, and the Canadian Auto Workers Union. The concerns expressed in the letter focused on re-instating Ralph to his job and on DCX setting up a system such as Ralph's to help owners track their purchased vehicle's build status.
The letter has been signed for and accepted. The group of forum members that have put their email address on file with Kenny King are following up now with registered letters of their own.
As yet we have not had any official communication back from DCX. Keep in mind, it is still early in the game. Ralph's union will have a grievance hearing shortly. Thanks for your patience and understanding in what is a very delicate matter. As soon as we receive more info we will post up again.
