That looks like a section of the old road above the top pub. Many a time I road/drove my Ducati/Triumph bonneville/Mini/or Triumph TR4 there.

Murphy, privately sent me a photo of "Arnie" in the village, with my mother's centuries old cottage, and the house my grandfather built, in the background. Same house where I was born. Small world we live in.

Attached another view of the area, taken by yours truly about 9 months ago. Tiny interconnected world.

Congrats Murph, on the new horseless carriage, great addition to the village, and excellent choice of grille!

Suddenly I'm thirsty for a pint of bitter (real ale of course)

Hi Zilla

I don't think that I could have taken a better picture to show people the place that i live in in England.

And thanks for the "beer" link. If I had a £ (or even a $) for each of the pints that i'd had in these places I'd be able to afford tyres (spelt with a Y) when they come up for replacement.

If anyone is interested, all of these pubs are within a 1/2 hour drive of my house - or an hour if I do some (as Geordie would say) "poncing about" on my wat there.
