I'd just come towards the end of the A5074 on the Lyth Valley when I encountered this

. How many smiles per mile can I get out of this strech was one of them. The Lyth Valley is renowned as being a particularly fine (if relatively short) bikers road. It is the source of
Lyth Valley Damsons which have an excellant reputation for use in jams, chutneys, pies, wine, gin & beer.
The Masons Arms at Strawberry Bank in the Lyth Valley is a VERY, VERY good place to try a glass or three of any of the Damson drinks.
Arnie & I then went for a quick spin to E.S Hartleys at Ings (Chrysler dealer) to drop some docs. This is the picture I wanted to get on the day I picked Arnie up. Sadly the weather was pants then, but today is a different story.
