This is the first time I've heard of this problem. Since it isn't affecting the vast majority of these cars, I'll have to assume there's something slightly different about your car. Perhaps the spring was installed improperly while your car was being built. Perhaps your spring didn't have the correct coating. In any case, have you asked if the dealer can order you a new return spring?
