Good Evening my fellow UK forum dwellers, i trust you are all well. I have been somewhat unwell these past days and have been lax in my attendance to these jolly chit chats. Well lets see if we can't clear up a few points then.

1. iPod. DCUK still unconfirmed but is almost a certainty for 2006.5 MY cars. Chrysler Corp US have announced that ALL models will have either standard fitment or optional availabiliy for Ipod. Apple have this to say. Interestingly this site hints at backward compatibility and prices in £££!

2. Video and TV. C5HEA seems to have made progress towards this but from what i can gather this will involve open sat nav surgery. Now i know that some are of the ilk that the modification comes at any expense! Personally, and i speak as a former security equipment engineer, I wouldn't fancy jiggering around inside almost 2 grands worth of gadgetry. From past experience these multi stack dash units work to very slim tollerance margins and one misplaced screwdriver will result in untold heartache. Please remember that your warranty goes for a burton the minute you pull the unit apart! Also worth considering that only the unit supplied with the car will work in it without dealer re programming, so no buying a used one on Ebay and just plugging it in!

3. DAB. DCUK should announce this week the final specs of their DAB audio unit. From initial speculation this WILL be available to retro fit (Giving a certain Moggy some additional listening choice). What has yet to be made clear is if the units appearance will remain in keeping with the curent line up. I believe Blaupunkt are to supply the unit. More to follow...
