I did just unplug the center speaker.
It was really easy...
you need a credit card - use one of your mileage or hotel rewards cards - it might get bent...
pry up the cover...
use a small (stubby) phillips head screwdriver and take out the 2 screws and unplug...
that's it...
as for your other questions...
I'll leave those for an expert...
shouldn't be any different than mine though...
