They used them on the Magnum wagon on the Overhaulin' TV show. You can see them here:

Never seen them in person, but even on TV you could see the outline of the kit on the car even after it was painted body color. Maybe it would look better if they mig-welded the kit into the door and refinished it, but if you are going to go to all that work you might as well shave the handles and get some door poppers with a remote.
