It may be a bit late to post this, but there *IS* a high end film that's specifically made to not interfere with cell phone, AM, FM and satellite reception. It's a bit hard to find tho.

It's called "Pinnacle" and it's made by "Formula 1". It's the only ceramic based film on the market specifically designed for cars. (Huper Optik is another ceramic, but it's an architectual film.)

I live in Phoenix, and I've had Pinnacle on my 2005 for coming up on 2 years now. Best tint I've ever owned. Ran me $300, including taking out the rear deck to get the film all the way down on the rear window.
