The hand car wash that I go to uses a pressure washer for the wheels, which as Rambit stated does a nice job at getting rid of a lot. The rest I do simply with a rag, and my hands take a beating each time. It's a somewhat twisted tribute and labor of love which my car fully realizes/appreciates and repays me every time I drive it.
