You are right, there are many threads on this, tbyrne. In short, I found that there is such a
lag between one actually moving the shifter to the right, and the car actually making the shift. Therefore, when you go past, say 5,600 RPM and then make the shift...its too late and you will hit the rev limiter. I did several test runs, and everytime I shifted at 5,300 RPM @ WOT the actual shift came at 6250 hence perfetion and no hesitation. Give it a try and report back
