As a 13 year veteran of the Cdn forces, this is Remembrance Day in Canada and Commonwealth countries. The Cdn Mint put out a special coin (quarter) this year which has a red poppy in the center. I guess this is the first time anywhere where a colour was used on a coin. It was a nice touch and all proceeds go to veterans of all our wars and peacekeeping ventures.
