Chrysler promotes designer Ralph Gilles to vice president

DETROIT -- The designer who penned the hit Chrysler 300 sedan will now be a vice president at the Chrysler group.
Ralph Gilles, 36, becomes vice president of Jeep/truck and component design on
April 1, the company said Wednesday. He replaces Ricardo Aneiros, 60, who is retiring.
Gilles has been director of the company's truck studio since 2005. He joined the company in 1992.
