[quote=Geordie]And while I'm at it, according to www.craigsplates.com stick on numberplates are NOT legal for road use, only for "show" use. Mabye worth checking further.

Hi MTC...

Are we at crossed purposes here? If the number plate conforms to the legal requirement with regard to design; spacing of characters etc., then why can it not be affixed (i.e. stuck) to the front bumper area notwithstanding that it is clearly visible and at a right-angle to the vehicle?

Geordie
Aye, it does seem odd, but it was one option I looked at before settling for the patented Murphy The Cat numberplate mount.

This is from the DVLA, look at FAQ #26. Also on www.craigsplates.com
if you try and order a plate for road use, if you select road use, you don't get an option for stickies !
