I'm sorry but I should have corrected the instructions slightly. The small piece of plastic that needs removing can be taken off with a craft knife, or snapped off with a screwdriver. I think that the original chap used a dremel for a reason that I can't imagine at the moment.

I thought my Mineral Grey was difficult to keep clean but i see by your description that "Arnie" ain't exactly a walk in the park either. I was going to choose black but I knew it would involve plenty of sponge and bucket time so I went with the grey instead. Having said that I've had to wash mine every weekend since I bought it.
