I am a great advocate of using the ctek multi XS 3600 battery charger / conditioner on those occasions that the other horses in my stable are not in constant use. This unit is recognised as one of the best available and costs under £50.
On those occasions that the new beast will be out of commission (e.g. away on my annual 3 months world cruise etc) I will be connecting the ctek which will ensure that the battery maintains its full charge.
As well as being able to connect direct to the battery, the ctek also has an adaptor that enables the unit to be plugged directly into the power point (cigarette lighter). However, this feature can only be used if the power point operates without the ignition key being operated in the usual accessory mode. My queries are:-
a) Does the 300c CRD have a power point in the area of the dash and if so
b) Does it operate independent of the ignition switch?
Cheers

Good evening Geordie, off the top of my head these are both ignition fed sockets. However most CJ product offers 1 permanent and 1 ignition socket. Due to the arrival of more snow in the NE of Scotland i do not have the 300 outside this evening. The identification is easy though. Ignition fed sockets are plugged with a cap marked with a key graphic. Live feeds show a battery on the cap. Perhaps somebody (MTC you could send the butler to save the old paws getting chilly) could pop out and take a peek.
Failing this I'll check tomorrow and let you know.
All the best
