Yep, my last car was an '01 Lexus LS430 and it had the laser adaptive cruise control. I believe Lexus switched to a radar based system like Benz in '04. I believe Benz has had their adaptive system available on the S-class since '99, so it's been out there for quite some time. IMO, it's not a very useful option unless you're on a long road trip. With it engaged, it is very easy to become complacent and stop paying attention to what's going on in front of you which could lead to more accidents, so I hardly ever used it.

My Lexus also had the a/c front seats, a very nice option on hot days as you would never have to worry about a sweaty back or butt. It would be nice if DCX would make this an available option too. Also, enlarging the nav screen and moving it to the top of the center console may also cause less accidents, as well as making the nav voice activated. It seems Lexus has been at the head of the pack for years and it's time for the other automakers to start following their lead, especially since the cost has been reduced significantly over the years for these options.
