The best thing I have found is jeweller's rouge for very fine scratches - take care to buy ONLY the red one as it is sold in other colours to represent coarser grades. I've included a pic below.

Cerium Oxide can be used for depper scratches - it is often used to restore windshields in older cars that are badly marked but it can be hard to find.

There is also a 3M product but it's name escapes me at the moment.
