Hi Bill300C

A quick check on how to find if your EVIc is talking US gals or Imp gals is by checking the EVIC version. If your EVIC is version 4.08 25.10.05 , then your on Imp gals, If your on an earlier version then you on US gals - not 100% guarenteeing this one, but I'm led to believe that going to the dealer and getting your EVIC flashed brings it up to the latest version 4.08.

I did a 210 mile high speed motorway run today (well 80-85mph keeping up with traffic) with my car fully loaded up and got 34 mpg.

Arnie has now cracked 5000 miles and I can say with complete confidence the following :-
Until the engine is fully to temp, Arnie drinks quite heavily - driving steadily Arnie takes 8 miles to get to full temp.
Driving in the lower gears really buggers up your overall consumption. If you have a journey to make via the motorway (higher speed) or via A Road (lower speed), so far I have found (fuel consmption wise) Arnie to be more frugal at a steady (high) speed than at a lower (say 60mph) speed and stopping for traffic lights, road junctions etc.

On 2 x recent 600 mile = round trips on motorways, Arnie averaged over 36 mpg (At a highish steady speed). The best mpg I have had so far is 42 mpg on a 100 mile trip obeying all speed limits (not an economy trip - just a speed limit obeying one).

Over this weekend I had to do a license losing (if caught) very high speed dash to a hospital 15 miles away. Let me tell you once and for all that when the need arises a 300C CRD goes like stink and clears the road like no other car I have ever driven. I can't say what it did for the mpg though.
