At what RPM does it idle? Have you cleaned your throttle body lately? Any codes showing?

First things first, clean your throttle body. That's the cheapest and easiest thing to do, and you can have some surprising results - especially when experiencing bad idling issues.

It's simple. First buy some throttle body cleaner - few bucks at any auto store. Remove your intake arm and you'll be staring at your TB on the front of the manifold. Remove the plug on the TB and remove 3 or 4 bolts that are holding it to the manifold. Then just clean her up with the TB cleaner and replace.

If it hasn't been cleaned in nearly 100K miles, you probably have quite a bit of gunk on it - possibly causing the butterfly not to close properly or stick a bit... hence, idle issues.

Happy to help.

Here's the TB cleaner I use... And my TB before and after cleaning - think these pics were probably from around 50K miles or so...

Don't know if this will be your complete solution, but if you are approaching 100K miles then it certainly can't hurt to clean it anyways!!

Plugs on the SRT8 are scheduled for every 100,000 miles. I changed mine at around 70 k and they needed changing!

Remember - there are 16 of them and you must use the specified plug.

Normally you do as the old one won't come off clean for re-use.
