I believe the jury is still out on that one. There are some differences that could benefit a highly modern engine and some additives could help keep the engine clean (thus run cleaner and leaner) but all I read about it was marginal. For starters the power output of our kind of cars is not determined by the fuel, but by the programming of the controller.

I always go for the cheapest I can find.
