Thanks,

1) I skip the water box.
2) Autostick into 1st - burnout to redline - about 4 seconds. This is probably longer than most would recommend with street tires, but I consistently hook up better after a 4 second burnout than if I do a 1 second burnout to just clean the tires.
3) I shallow stage
4) Autostick in Drive
5) ESP off
6) Right foot on brake - nothing on the gas.
7) Immediately after the second amber light I take my right foot off the brake and hammer the gas.

My average reaction time this weekend was .099 seconds. My best was .046 seconds. Not great - but I never red lighted, and we weren't bracket racing so it didn't matter anyway.

For anyone who's never tried it - you should. I never did before last fall. It can be intimidating, but once you've gone I think you'll find people will love to talk with you, they will be much friendlier than you can imagine, they'll be supportive, and there's little to no pressure. Oh - and with an SRT-8, you'll be one of the fastest truly street legal cars at any track on any given day.
