I had thought that initially as well; however, at the time, I had wanted something to help alleviate the overabundance of red plastic which the non-'C' taillight assemblies exude...just too much red for me. I also felt that they might 'disappear' if done in 'PXR' on tinted taillights, but might look much better if done (painted to match) in a lighter exterior paint scheme on models other than PXR or DLR. Since then, I have upgraded to OEM '300C'/'SRT-8' taillamps, as the three white (reverse/back-up light) strips help break-up the red...looking much better than those assemblies which come OEM on the Base, Touring, and Limited models.
