Many, many years ago I made a faily decent second income street racing and I NEVER "blew anybody away". Somehow I would only win by a fender or so
. The local speed shop loved me; the kids with their new GTOs would run right down for a new cam, headers, carb, or ignition, etc. So they could come looking for me the next weekend to get their money + back; I still could only beat them by a fender or so.
