I live in the North Dallas Metroplex (Frisco to be exact), but am willing to travel a reasonable distance (i.e. <50 miles) for a chance to hear this exhaust and the infamous drone it is associated with. |
The drone only occurs at low speeds and low RPM, between idle and about 1700 rpm on my car. Above 2000 rpm the drone disapears. At 60-80 mph cruise it is as quiet as stock, or seems so. If you take it up to 90 you get a higher pitched whine which can be annoying over distance, but if you go up to 100mph it's quiet again. I was worried about excessive noise when I installed the system because of the refinement of the car, but all in all I am happy with it, particularly at WOT.
