Here is my .02
Everything that I have researched shows that our cars are calibrated for 91 octain. So using anything more simply does not do you any good. However, if you have certain mods, i.e. in my case nitrous, you want the extra ocane to prevent pinging or knock (pre ignition). I still pump 91 premium octain with use of 100 HP shot of juice. But once I go to the track and start doing some tests, I'll need more octain so I can bump up the shot of nitrous and lower when it comes on.
