But this site has more than you'll ever want to know: http://www.canadiandriver.com/articl...tiresafety.htm Executive summary - Light Truck tires are sturdier with stiffer sidewalls to increase load carrying capacity (that would probably mean they are heavier than passenger car tires, too which would increase unsprung weight Passenger tires have softer sidewalls for a better ride and will also handle better. Bottom line, if you want to go fast and handle well, stick with the passenger car tires. If you want to haul more junk in your trunk, go for the LTs
