Lightbulb Who has noticed those "TRUTH" commercials on TV?

This topic will probably fall to the bottom of the column, but I was thinking today about how since I've turned 21 (which was only a year ago) I have drank some type of alcohol on average every other day since I've turned 21. I come home from work and get a little buzzed and then go to sleep. I will be totally honest to say that right when I got my 300C in March of last year I stopped a bad habit I had and it wasn't drinking. I used to smoke marijuana everyday of my life since sophomore year in high school, several times a day! I couldn't live without it.

I used to own a 2001 Silver Honda Prelude and would get high smoke cigarettes and street race anybody who would want to go at the green light about 3 nights out of the week. I couldn’t even go into a supermarket without getting high first.

Once I got into my 300C and into the mortgage industry I stopped smoking and have been clean since. The only bad habit I still carry is drinking about every other day. It has not effected my work yet but I fear that if I don't take actions in the near future it will. I'm a young guy and can use the excuse that I can do things like this because I'm young. I just don't want' to end up in the same situation as I was with the marijuana.

I don't drink and drive and can control how much I drink I just don't want it to turn into such an everyday thing. Back to the "TRUTH" commercials.

I love the campaign; I just feel that alcohol kills almost as much if not more people a year as cigarettes do. All the DUI deaths and liver deaths. Not to mention all the other problems people get into when they are drunk. Why not attack this problem since its just as easy for young and old people to get their hands on. I guess the alcohol companies are paying too many of the activist off to give a care. Just thought I would start a new thread. :o
