It's been a long time coming, but the fabulous new road course circuit at Calabogie, outside of Ottawa is officially opening on October 14th and 15th.
Everyone is invited to bring their road or racing car and run laps (not race - just lap at speed) on this magnificant Alan Wilson designed 3.05 mile course.
The event (Goodwood in the Valley) is being hosted by the Motorsports Club of Ottawa (MCO). Details and entry form are here:

I was invited to a pre-opening testing day this past Wednesday, Sept. 27th. In all, about 100 road and track cars came - everything from Lambos; Ferraris; Porsches - even a black Carerra GT; Bimmers; formula cars and road bikes. We had a Legends car there, as well. It was so loud it exceeded the db limit!
I plan to be there on the 14th and 15th with a Legends car set up for road circuits; a CASCAR late model Taurus - modified for road racing, and, of course, my 300C. Here is another link to the track and some pics form last Wednesday:
