I recieved this recall notification two weeks ago. When I contacted my dealer regarding a loaner/rental, I was told that unless I had ourchased an extended warranty and the alternate tranportation was included, I was not getting either. So, I contacted Chrysler directly and was told that they do not provide loaners. This is what they had to say: "Unfortunately, your warranty does not provided the use of a rental vehicle when your own vehicle requires service." To what I responded: "The fact of the matter is this has nothing to do with MY warranty as you alluded to in your response, this is a MAJOR mistake on the part of Chrysler and not a SERVICE my vehicle requires." They ended the exchange like this: "Our sincerest apologies for the problems you have had. I hope we will have another chance to restore your faith in us."
Unfortunately, Chrysler is not in the league of other auto makers as far as customer service goes, and I assured them this will be my last Chrysler automobile. This is one obvious reason American car companies are loosing there market niche.
Sorry for the long post.
