Wow! Now you just taught me something, because I never knew Cadillac had a DTS-V series. Nice car! Also, I do love the 300 in white!
Mods to the V are not like the old V-series (STS). The V can be modded to run 10s very easy and you can be sneaky about it. The supercharger is a 1.9 Eaton from the factory. Upper, lower pulley, ported snout and supercharger, heat exchanger, cold air, headers, and a cam will get you mid to low 10s! With just an upper pulley (2.5, 2.4) cold air, tune and tires, they can run low low 11s ($2,500 budget). There are a lot of Vs running around, running low 11s-high 10s and you would never know. These cars can be modded just like the Shelby and Cobras. When you get a chance, youtube pulley Vs. Vet Doctor's has a few in the 9s as well as a few forum members.
I do know, that once the tuning becomes available for the regular shop, the SRT8 will be one nasty car to compete against. I can imagine with headers, cai, cam, ported heads and tune, they will be in the 10s!!
I really love the DTS V. This was my lesson for the day. lol
