I have a 2nd generation 2012 Chrysler Srt and there are no alignment holes, as u can see from my profile pic, I have no rear emblem and no holes concealed or otherwise, I removed that monstrosity the first week I recieved the car, at first I had it painted black like the front one but it just made the car look cheap, I removed it all together and I've gotten hundreds of compliments. Your safe, take it off with a heat gun or even a blow dryer.

I actually like the 2nd gen wing design over the 1st gen wing. So I decided to leave it on the trunk lid, but had it painted white first. Almost disappears, from a distance, until you are close to the car.

I definitely like it either in white or not at all, very clean look, the only reason I prefer removal is because there have been many times that people didn't know what kind of car it was, and when people ask me I say it's an srt8, it's funny how people act when I won't answer there question on what kind of car it is and who makes it, I just say its an srt8 made by the Srt team... Lol I painted the from wing black to match the grill, the only place it really says Chrysler is on the wheel caps which I thought about changing out to mopar caps, that will really keep EM guessing.
Could be a master of the obvious question...however...could someone give a 7th graders version of removing the rear badge off the 2012? Just don't want to make a rookie mistake! Thanks!!!!
Heat the badge up with a blow dryer for 3 minutes. Get some dental floss, or a soft credit card and pry it off. Use goo-b-gone on the adhesive that is left. Once all of it is off I wash the area well with soap and water. Then I wax over it. Simple as that, good luck! Shouldn't take more than 15 min.
