Ticket anyone...

Has anyone recently gotten any tickets for using their right foot a little too much??
I narrowly escaped one yesterday!!!

I just picked up the black beast on Friday (12/21) and have been having fun !!!
Yesterday, my son tells me that he needs to be at the gym within the next 10 min (gym is 20 min away) for a work out session with his lacrosse team. Meanwhile, I have just finished my run and am sweating like a stuck pig, hair dripping and saturated t-shirt, shorts. I put on a light jacket so I don't get the sweat all over the seats and we head out. I am doing 52 in a 30 when I see the cop car pulling out behind me. Oh shit... now I have to hear it from the wife!! I slow it down to around 40 because this baby does not want to do 30 at all!!! He pulls me over and asks for my license and registration. I explain that I left everything at home because I have just finished a run (sweating like hell) and am taking my son to the gym. I also tell him it is a new car and I know I was coming over the rise a little hot. He tells me he will be back. After about 5 minutes of him doing something in his car (and me thinking I am getting a ticket), he comes back to the car and offers me a warning!!!! YAHOO!!!! He says "Take your foot out of it because this is a sweet ride and I will be looking for you... Have a nice day and Happy Holiday" I say "Thank you and have a wonderful Holiday Officer!!!!"

....same thing with me day we picked up ours (in June). 85 in a 55 down a deserted country highway going to dinner....cop gave a warning and was checking my whip out the whole time! Asked me about the Hemi. And asked...."ever heard of cruise control? May want to use it!"

85 in a 55? I hope you realize how lucky you got, and how badly that could have ended! No tickets yet in my 300, thankfully. Cops around here don't need much of a reason to pull you over and ticket you, after all it's all going toward their pension.

I know...I think it was my three kids and wife in the car...my four year old kept shouting from the back "he's got a gun he's got a gun!" Talking about the officer. When he whipped his car around to come after me, I just pulled over before he had his lights on!

I was pulled over and asked what kind of exhaust I had after shooting past a cop. Good thing for me ive been a bar manager for a long time and have hosted some holiday parties for the department. Luckily he knew who I was.

I did a bonehead move....I got nabbbed punching it from a stop sign. I drifted around the corner and raced up to 60 when I realized that the town I was in had built a brand new police station that happened to be on that road. I raced past a cop pulling out of the police station parking lot going 60 mph(the speed limit was 30). He pulled me over and gave me a $200 ticket that I ended up getting it fixed but I definitely deserve the Idiot award for that one. I had completely forgot that the police station moved there.

I got a warning in my 300 a few weeks ago for excessive exceleration (squeeling tires) and I got a ticket in a frickin rental car.. Toyota Yaris in Kentucky following a semi. I got the ticket. I was pissed!
You guys reminded me that I better pay that ticket... Still have not done that!

He'll be on the lookout for ya just like he said. My last ticket was in 1996 and the stop wasn't a pleasant one. Let's just say I got pulled over by an LEO that wasn't a happy camper and I caught the brunt of his bad day.

My radar detector saved my ass several times. All it takes is a slight stab at the gas pedal and the tires are spinning. You really don't have try that hard. Plus it's fun.

Radar detector has saved me a bunch of times as well, that is definitely the first thing you should buy for this car as its too easy to get in trouble, the car is really unhappy going 30 mph.
