Obviously adding rotating mass is never a good thing, but if it adds grip, are guys seeing 0-60 and 1/4 times reduced?

The original 300cSRt8 rode STAGGERED goodyears. It seems that they made them all the same 245/45/20 all around to decrease cost.

I drove the 2012 the day my dealer got it because they wanted me to buy it badly. I realized immediately that under hard acceleration the rear of the car breaks loose from the ground and pulls hard to the right.

Later I noticed that the car spins its wheels so fast that the first second of that 0-60 is spent SQUEALING TIRE.

This thing NEEDS staggered rears.

I stuck with the original 245 size when I replaced the F1s, but next round I might go to a 255 all around. 245s are a little less $$, but don't look as aggressive on the rims.

I was thinking the same thing. It will look better, and my guess is part of the reason the other srt8 have a bit better handling is because of some tire differences. I thought the charger and challenger have wider tires - I could be wrong.

I want wide tires, but I'm more concerned about road noise - I'm getting older and care about such things

With the exception of the Jeep, all SRT's have 245/45/20's. The Jeeps are 295/45/20 all around. The Charger and Challenger should handle better because of the different spring rates.
I think the staggered tires on the 1st gen cars were an option. I doubt going to a 255 will make much difference in performance or SRT would have them on the car. I'm not sure if you guys seen the vid on YouTube but SRT has a 140 mph lane change test for all SRT vehicles. Basically, you change lanes to pass a car at 140 mph and cut back in.

One thing I would recommend anyone about to purchase a Chrysler 300, not buy the Harmon Kardon sound system until Chyrsler comes up with a fix. I made a video of the rattle and posted it on U Tube. You can get a pretty good idea how bad the rattle is. Look up "Harmon Kardon speaker vibration Chrysler 300 2012"

There's also a ton of us without any issues; I suspect it's something that occurred during a window in the production / build (a couple weeks' worth of production affected).

If the rattle is coming from the rear deck then it's not just the HK systems. The 506 watt Alpine system that was in my 11 Charger rattled the rear deck too.

Is this something that a few Dynamat sheets can fix?

I was told that the rear deck is made of thin metal. In the new models they mounted the sub woofer just below the rear deck that in turn is what causes the rattle. It only happens with certain tones or frequencies when playing music on your iPod. I'm not sure Dynamat will make any difference.
