I have collapsible disc sunshades in the car for parking in the sun during the summer. Two large ovals when deployed on the windshield, they collapse into a small circle for storage. You use the sun-visors flipped down to hold them in place.

That's where tint comes into play, as well as windshield film. I always get my cars tinted and put the clear film on the windshield to block out the UV. I also have a sunshade made for the 2011+ Charger and 300's.
