Haven't had my 2013 for long (only about 1200 miles) but I'm averaging about 19.5 overall with 60% highway driving.

It's better than I expected. Obviously I didn't buy a 6.4L V8 for the gas mileage.

I like to watch the ECO mode display on the dash and drive lightly sometimes just to see how good I can do with the mileage.

I've noticed a slight discrepancy between reality and the cars estimated consumption. Not much, but it is a bit optimistic

Consider yourself fairley lucky, my older 8.3 liter gets 9.5, and 12 on the highway. But like some have said I didn't buy it for the gas milage.

just did approx. 1200 mile trip, PA to ME and back plus stuff in between while in ME.

was going to get an overall mpg for the trip but ****ed up and reset the meter by accident. at that time i was not quite 1/2 way on my trip back, and was getting close to 22mpg with me, wife, kid, and trunk full of shit with mostly hwy but also backroads and city driving. after reset was around 24.5 for a 2 hr stretch. hit backed up traffic on garden state parkway, and had around 23 mpg when i got home. avg hwy speed for much of the trip was around 73-75 mph.

it also seemed use of cruise control, which i don't use much, was able to engage 4 cyl mode more often. or i could just be imagining things

I've noticed that very short drives (less than 2 miles total, in traffic) will tank your mileage (16-17). If I do my usual trips between towns where the car can run at least 45 or 50 for a few mile stretch, my mileage is really remarkable for this size car and engine (18.5-20). Now, of course, that's if you don't plant your foot in it. Reminds me of the test on Top Gear BBC where they ran a Prius around the test track as fast as it would go, and Clarkson followed it in an M3 just keeping up for 10 laps. The Prius got about 17 mpg and the BMW got 19. Their take: "It's not what you drive, it's how you drive"

Got that right! Confirmed this past weekend...my mpg usually registers 19-20 during the week via the EVIC. After Sunday's running around from church to store to restaurant to dropping my teen off @ youth group, etc...etc...(all w/in a 5mi radius), my mpg dove down to ~17. The beefy 6.4 shows it's "true colors" when making numerous short trips locally...even w/ the MDS actively engaging.

Driving 75mph we got 23mpg, I was happy. Our '12 GCSRT8 would only have gotten 17mpg prob.
