Creaking noise coming from cloth seats.

I don't think it matters if the seats are wrapped in cloth or leather. I believe the squeak is coming from inside the seat back somewhere. It is def. in the seat back, not the head rest. I removed the head rest and after acceleration, the seat back still squeaks.

I have a 2012 300S with leather interior and my driver seat has been making the same squeak that you mentioned from day one of owning the car. When I have the time or next oil change is due, I will have my dealership look at the problem. Glad to know I am not the only one this is happening to. I first thought it was because I am a bit heavier than most people, but others in our club that have gen II 300's have the same happening to them.

I think that Chrysler must have changed seat manufact. with Fiat on board now. My 6 year old Magnum SRT seat was pretty worn out but never made the squeaking sound that my brand new 300 seat makes.

Well, I was interested in knowing whether or not it had to do with the cloth seats and I guess I have my answer.

I am going to try and bring my car in sometime soon. It's really annoying.

hey man sorry it took so long, i wasnt near a pc. I sent you a scanned copy of my invoice from when i got the seat repaired, hope it helps

Sherman Dealer called back before this and stated that they ordered the same parts as you mention in your RO. I am going to bring down the copy of your RO to tell them... I TOLD YA SO!!!! We will see. Did it take two weeks to install the part or was it two weeks to find out what the problem is?

well they had to order the part from the manufacturer so they had to build the part then ship it, that took a couple days, then they shipped it to the wrong city (bout 3 hours away) then when the shipped it to where i am they forgot to ship all the parts, so it was mainly because of mistakes, but it still would have taken a couple days because the part had to be built to order

UPDATE*****

Got my car back today after the Front Seat Frame was replaced with part number 68104489-AA and they also replaced the seat adjuster part number 68104487-AA... NO MORE CREAKING!!!!! BTW I have leather seats FYI!!

Thanks Whit3boy316 for the RO because every little bit helps!! I advise any other person with this problem to go to dealer and get fixed. Parts alone would cost $1500 if out of warranty not to mention labor. Please tell your advisor of the problem and print this thread... please show them the part numbers and that every successful repair mentions that Left front seat frame had to be replaced!!

well my car is doing it again, i think it happes cuz i push back on the seat to get my hand under my butt to grab my wallet, i think these seats are weak and cant take it, now i have to take it back in, kind of pathetic

That is a huge bummer whit3boy...

The bad news is clearly everything you said – the sound is back and, as it turns out, it wasn't fixed at all. (So frustrating exhalation point)

I guess (trying to find some positive thing about your situation) is that maybe now they need to do something different or more and the second time you will get it really fixed.

Again, really sorry to hear about your outcome. Hopefully it gets resolved and you can report back to the forum so others can avoid a similar fate.
