Creaking noise coming from cloth seats.

So we have a 2012 base model with "premium cloth" interior. Everything was nice until about a month or so after our purchase when the drivers seat started to make creaking noises. Everytime you accelerate and you put pressure against the back of the seat, it creaks. Also, if you push your hand against the headrest, it creaks. The creaking comes from the middle of the seatback and it is internal.

Anyone else have this problem with their premium cloth interior?

I don't think it has anything to do with the specific interior finish as it does with a loose seat back or lower frame. Check all the external bolts.

Mine started doing it within a few weeks. It seems they have LOTS of plastic inside and make tons of creaking/ crunching EVERYTIME i move! Sounds like 1970s junk instead of refined Chrysler.

I am talking mine to dealer cause it sounds like shizz!

The lumbar slides up and down. the void left when it is down or not completely inflated compresses and creaks / crunches like plastic stuff rubbing.

Nothing to do with lower bolts.

My Tundra did this also...cheap seats!

I wish I had something helpful to offer but I can tell you that I encountered this on the past three or four 300s that I rented. It seemed to be related to the headrest when I was experiencing at – every time I pressed back into the sea there was a slight creek and when I pressed my head back into the head rest it was substantially more noisy.

Best of luck with a resolution.

Damn...not unheard of but I've never had that problem before.

Cheap seats indeed!

Guess ya gotta remove the cover and put something in there to keep it from moving around.

These kind of things make me crazy. Why does this sort of thing have to happen???

Does anyone else think this is something a dealer should take care of? I know if I owned a car with seats that creaked like the ones I experience in my rental I would take that car into the dealer while it was under warranty and refused to leave the place until they told me what exit. LOL
