I have just one quick question in regards to the rear trunk emblem that you had painted white. How easy was it to remove? Im about to purchase one with the black logo and want to get an idea of removal/install process.

Thanks
Pat

I don't paint the TPM's they go inside the wheel.

I did paint my chrome valve stems, white, to match the white barrels of my new wheels.

Heat up the emblem with a heat gun to soften the 3M tape behind the emblem. Then use some thin fishing line and use the line, in a sawing motion, from one end of the emblem to the other end (cutting the 3M tape from the emblem). Then peel emblem off of ther car. There will be 3M tape residue left on the trunk lid, use a microfiber towel and some WD 40 to rub off the 3M tape. You will have to use some elbow grease to get the tape off but the WD40 is oil based and will not hurt your paints finish like goo be gone will. Then you want to wash off the oil from the WD40 on your trunk lid and dry. then use some rubbing alcohol and wipe off any oil left from the WD40 before stick the new emblem on the car.

Really nice work, and inspirational to boot. I just purchased a 300s in white myself, with the panoramic roof, and am looking forward to beautifying over the next year or two using every sweet idea I find - thanks for posting!
