Just joined the forum although I have had my 2012 Chrysler 300 MOPAR #14 of 500 since end of March 2013! I have been checking out the forum and enjoying your comments on this thread for awhile and am glad I am a part of it now. Is it possible that I am the only female owner of the 2012 Chrysler 300 MOPAR??? I loved this car the moment I did the test drive! Just hit 2500 miles on it yesterday. My other car is a 2000 Chrysler 300M with 201,000 miles on it that still runs really well.
Just put down my deposit on it today, will be getting it next week. Got about a question about the owner kit tho: if my dealership say that they never had it (and don't know anything about it), who am I suppose to contact about this? I read a good number of you all had problems with this, how did you resolve the issue?
That is why I drove over 500 miles and 5 states to get my MOPAR. I was tiered of local dealers selling me BS. Each MOPAR 12 came to the dealer with a MOPAR kit. It was packaged in a cardboard box with the car # and dealer name. If you pay for the car you should either demand the kit or substantial discount. After all, would you buy the same car with the MOPAR wheels or a gear shifter missing?
2012 300C 5.7 13,000 miles. My job is to wear it out. NO ISSUES after 10 months of driving and 13,000 miles. Not one service visit other than oil change. Did have a tire puncture with a nail that I repaired at home. So far it is the ONLY new car I have bought that didn't go back for some issue in the first 10,000 miles/6 months.
No tune available yet. Plus, I would be really hesitant to put tune on these cars, because I think they already have different ECM programming to compensate for the rear end as opposed to a standard 300S.
Your tires are doing better than mine and I only drive aggressively occasionally. I have less than 8k on mine and I doubt they will make it much past New Year's.
@ 13,000 miles with 5.7 under the hood tires still look almost new. Very slight almost not noticable wear on the inside edge of the front but it is time to rotate.
Traded my 2010 Furious Fuchsia Dodge Challenger R/T for my Mopar '12 in January 2013 after having serious engine issues with my Challenger. Got it for $17K off MSRP too.
# 432. Just puchased my Mopar 12 yesterday. The dealership said they knew nothing about an owners kit. Does anyone know how to go about getting the owner's kit? Also does anyone know where I can purchase the Mopar calibers for the brakes and the rear spoiler to match? This info would greatly be aprreciated.
Congratulations on the new Mopar 12 Chrysler 300 purchase!
Hope you enjoy the vehicle as much as many others on the forum do.
The limited-edition Mopar '12 Chrysler 300 will be delivered to each customer with a personalized owner kit. Assembled in a custom-made black case, contents included a personalized plate with vehicle specifications, the date of manufacture and the unique identification number (of 500) of the vehicle. Along with a Mopar '12 memorabilia, the kit will include a limited-edition sketch of the vehicle signed by the Chrysler Group Chief Designer for the Mopar Brand.
The dealer is provided with this kit from their Corporate District Manager. If the dealer does not already have the owner's kit, they should contact their District Manager and request it.
For more information on Mopar brake and spoiler accessories mentioned above, you can visit the Mopar eStore at http://www.mopar.com
Authorized Chrysler dealers only. Was the vehicle purchased used? If it was purchased as a used vehicle, the first owner probably already received the kit. Duplicate kits are not available to 2nd owners
Mine are at 13,000 and look like normal wear, but then I don't drive the 300C like a vet. The tires don't get a lot of wheel slip from the granny that drives it.
