Just do it because even with the rims and body kit it won't ever be an srt and one day a srt will pull up next to you and you'll be like i should of gotten the srt...I'm glad i have mine..might not be the gen 2 but I'm glad i didn't Get the 5.7 and went balls out on the 6.1.....so just do it before that good deal you say slips through your hands...the more you wait the Less the stealer ship is gonna give you for yours.......do it!!!!!!!!!!!!

We'll I probably have the best dealer in town - I called my dealer where I bought my car and told him what was going on... Yup I will buy you out of your car 1k less and help you find a srt8 that you want!!! This guy is a class act and really helped me out. If you guys want to buy a car from a great dealer here in Orlando I will give you his information. My buddy just bought a Rubicon from them and wife got a grand Cherokee.

Good comment. I had my C for a month before I turned it over for the SRT8 and by the time I did I had done an intake, wheels, exhaust (Corsa!), tint and had demolded/debadged it.

Well, this is a tough one but I know I would not be able to NOT mod the SRT as well.

I think, bud, you need to understand the mods will come. Then decide whether or not you can you afford the hit and the higher acquisition cost of the SRT8. That's the reality of the situation.

There is no denying that the SRT8 is a significant step up from an S. You can get to SRT performance and appearance levels with an S but it's a big cost addition.

Update: still looking for a good deal at this point. My wife found out and boy she is angry. I took her to see one so she could see the differences and she could not see any. She prefers my car and likes my white better than black. I was on the fence with one srt8 I found that did not have the panoramic roof - I decided last night I enjoy that item too much to not have it in the srt8....

I am now again considering keeping the S. when I ran the numbers last night I was going to have to bring am additional 6k out of pocket and found out the parts I bought for the S will have to stay on. Guess that would be another 2k down the tube plus the 3k I put down when I bought it. So all in that hit would be 11-12k in 3 weeks and that hurts too much.

I can just install the parts I get for Christmas (spring, intake, and programmer) and just roll with it. The 2014 srt8 is supposed to be much improved with new facias and transmission. If I keep mine 2 years and sell it too an enthusiast I think it won't hurt so much....

This has been a freaking ordeal figuring out if its worth it all...and Maddog is right-as soon as I get it I will probably want it to have some sort of louder exhaust and all of sudden I would be back checking springs and intakes...it never stops.
