Why You Should Hold Out Until 2014...

I have reason to believe that model year 2014 300's will have an all new TFT in-dash screen, like that in the all new Viper, a possible face lift for the SRT8 along with an 8-speed, a 6.2L SC Hemi and an improved 8-speed trans for the V6 300's.

Are you thinking the new eight speed transmission will also work its way down to the 300C HEMIs? Or do you suspect it's just an SRT8 HEMI specific improvement?

Wouldn't think there would be a reason NOT to put the 8 speed in the C if its ends up in both the srt and the pentastar 6 cylinder

The 8 speed will go through the entire line. The Jeep Grand Cherokees are the first to get it across all engine choices, including the SRT8. Look for the 8 speeds in the Jeeps 1st quarter 2013 for the early 14' refresh.

Thanks for the scoop, Smoove. Any idea on timing for when we might see the new 8-speed HEMI 300c? will it be an update to the 2013 model year or not until the 2014s..?

Is yours one of the ones that was sourced from Germany? Chrysler was using German build ZF trannies on early runs (mine was one of the first).

I've had no issues.

I'm also not confident that Chrysler can duplicate ZF quality from Germany just because they have the rights to produce it locally.

Maybe you got one of the ones that was built on the assembly line by Chrysler workers who were drunk and high on the job? I'd like to say I'm joking, but those guys got rehired, so I'm serious!

Bad downshifts. Clunking. Been to three dealers. Documented by Chrysler headquarters. Also on Charger boards as well. Many there same problem. Multiple threads discussing it. All 8 speeds built in Germany so far. Started day one.
