Alright - intake and programmer on 300s v8...mucho power?

Well.....my wife is getting the best of me

She is making me keep the S for right now,and gave me the whole starting the family in the next 9 months and her salary going out the door as leverage for me not to have a larger payment with 10k out of pocket..

So I got some presents from family members that I was informed by my angry wife which were meant for my car. Will an intake and programmer with my catback exhaust fill my void of not having a srt8...Maddog has become a counselor for me in the past couple days and I appreciate his guidance but I would like to hear what you guys think.

Its OK Wizo... I understand the voids that can be created by not having an srt8... you will find another wife one day... and she will love you srt! Just think of the money your saving your family on gifts!

OK... so in reality... yes a programmer, exhaust and a cai will wake it up... at least on the first gens it did... so no clue why it wouldn't with yours! You will smile for awhile... at least till your divorce finalizes! Hehehe! Just kidding!

Enjoy your new found power and good luck in the future with your new family plans! When your real baby comes into play, your car baby will take a back seat anyway... I think you'll find you'll be more happy with the new baby than any srt.... or so I'm told! Hehehe!

Greetings,

From the Dyno Graphs I have seen, which are few and far between due to the clientele that purchase this car, you should expect about 25whp from an Intake, DSP and Cat-back exhaust. That said, you will probably need a CMR tuner to create a custom tune to get every last bit of HP out of the tune to achieve that number.

Figure you would Dyno around 350ish whp. That would put you just over 400 crank. Still 70hp shy of the SRT8 but you will feel a good kick in the pants.

If you want the SRT hit, a 75 shot of NO will get you there and relatively safe.

I have took advise from some pretty great guys on here and Maddog was one. He really knows his stuff. As far as Srt power you will need to look into getting a cam for that to gain any super power. I have a good amount of mods and I'm still 2 tenths of a sec slower than a Srt I ran this past year.

There are NO programmers that work on ANY 2012 Chryslers. They run 128 bit encryption. Ask any tuner in the USA. Many Challenger guys are selling their cars due to this..

Not quite true. DiabloSport now offers the T1000 Trinity for all V8 powered 300's from 2005 - 2012.

They have not updated their InTune application chart uploaded in June of this year so it does not show what may have changed with that application since that date.

Don't misunderstand me...this is NOT advice to Wizo...

2012 have been tuned by diablo sport but the 2013 have not been that lucky. Unfortunately I am stuck waiting to see what they do here.

Any updates on what you have done / would recommend? I have variable exhaust (electronic cut outs that can be stock / straight piped after the CATs) but I'm looking to get the best tune I can plus an intake. Not sure if I can do a custom tune anywhere in town though.

I always thought that the cai did absolutely nothing for our cars. I read this on our forums. They had actual testing done and in many cases it lost torque and had insignificant hp gains. They indicated that our stock cai have very good flow with no restrictions.
