Did you take your dash apart or just hide it somehow?

I do like the idea of just having best buy do it, considering they don't jack up my car.

I had an aftermarket head unit that came with a spacer that had a storage space just beneath the faceplate that was just large enough so i had it mounted there. The faceplate was a Kenwood kvt-512 with the motorized face. If that helps any.

you installed halos? didn't the 2012 have then really cool half square day time running lights?

It does. The halos were on my magnum... I'm currently looking to order red halos and red led's for my 300 though.

Have you looked into the "MirrorTap" solution.

You can get the cable on the "BlendMount" site (which looks to be a great radar detector mounting solution BTW) that lets you tap the electricity right into the review mirror and avoiding running cables anywhere.

I have never done it myself but it looks pretty straightforward and you can select a Chrysler 300 on the website and it brings up a cable that appears to be compatible with that car.

I'm surprised nobody else has mentioned it? It seems like a much more attractive and straightforward solution than running cables to cigarette outlets, et cetera.

Thanks for this info, I have looked into the blendmount option and because they don't make a mount that fits the 300 I over looked the fact I could just get the cable and use my mount. This is probably the route I'm going to take.

I was was all excited to get a blendmount for my upcoming 300 purchase and it looks like they do have mounts for both escort and valentine.. (?)

As a "soon to be" owner of a 300 and wanting a radar detector nicely mounted I am super eager to hear from anyone that ends up getting either of these items or, even better for those reading this and wondering if they want one, someone that already has them or has experience with either the vampire cord or the BlendMount.
