I appreciate everybody's input - since the AWD model is really hard to find here anyway, it's probably wise to stick with the RWD version, the added gas mileage of the RWD version is a nice bonus too ...

Probably the best thing for you unless you travel north. I cannot complain about AWD. We drove from Utah to Vegas and back in our 300C AWD Luxury. We averaged 24mpg and it was in AWD mode most of the time due to the cold. That was cruising around 80mph. AWD will engage at 37 degrees, disengage at 40, wipers on or using paddle mode makes it go into AWD also.

I drive all winter in New England. Now that I am older the AWD gets me to where it would be too far to walk.

Wish I had it years ago on any vehicle now that I see how useful it is.

As a Texan in Alaska! I say get the RWD since it hardly rains there! I love my AWD here but if i would have purchased my car in TX it would be RWD ALL THE WAY!!!
